Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

To quote for and carry out a move we collect your name, phone number, email address, pickup and destination addresses, the inventory of goods you are moving, your preferred dates, and any documents or photographs you choose to upload.

When you use the website we also record technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.

2. Why we use it

• To prepare and send your quotation.
• To plan, schedule and carry out your move.
• To keep you informed about the status of your booking.
• To provide live tracking during an active move.
• To answer support questions and handle any claim.
• To meet our legal, tax and insurance obligations.

3. Location data

During an active move we record the position of the vehicle carrying your goods so that you and our operations team can follow it. Position data is linked to the vehicle and the booking, not to you personally, and is retained for 180 days for dispute resolution before being deleted.

4. Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary, and only with: the crew and driver assigned to your move; our insurance partner when you purchase transit cover; payment processors; and government authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

5. How long we keep it

Booking and quotation records are kept for eight years to meet tax and audit requirements. Uploaded documents are kept for the duration of the booking plus twelve months. GPS records are kept for 180 days. Marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Uploaded documents are stored on private storage and are only accessible to authorised staff through an access-controlled interface - they are never given a public link. Staff access is governed by role-based permissions and every access to a booking record is logged.

7. Your rights

You may ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we have no legal obligation to keep it, or withdraw marketing consent at any time. Write to privacy@movemaster.test and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent.
